Pediatric Specialty Care VIP

At 13 months old, Annie admitted to Ambassador Health Pediatrics from Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Due to a premature birth, Annie was dependent upon a tracheostomy and ventilator. Along with Annie's family, Ambassador Health Pediatrics developed an individualized plan of care that included a goal of weaning off of the ventilator and eventually transitioning Annie back to her own home with her family.

After 18 months of specialized respiratory therapy, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and amazing family support, Annie not only weaned off of the ventilator, but was able to have her tracheostomy removed. Along with her parents, Scott and Jill, Annie is now back at her own home in Le Mars, Iowa.
