Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Full-Time Day ShiftOmaha

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Day Shift (Flexible based on patient needs)

Compensation: Based on Experience

Work Location: LTC Acute Hospital - In person at 1540 N 72nd Street Omaha, NE 68114

Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide bedside swallow evaluations and recommend appropriate diets
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehab team members
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safe swallowing techniques
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellow (CFY) welcome
  • Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

Position: Registered Nurse

Duties:

  • Administer medications and document therapeutic effects
  • Assist with resident comfort
  • Provide wound dressing care

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Duties:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
  • Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercise, transfer training, and mobility assistance
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist
  • Document treatments accurately and in a timely manner within EMR systems
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals, techniques, and safety
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant treatment environment

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current PTA license in Nebraska (or compact eligibility)
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt in a multi-setting healthcare environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or long-term care/skilled nursing
  • Experience working with medically complex patients
  • Familiarity with EMR systems

Duties:

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents on the Pulmonary Unit
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents per facility policy
  • Accurately complete charting and documentation
  • Communicate with physicians and carry out orders
  • Supervise and support nursing staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current Nebraska LPN license
  • Current LPN license in the state of Nebraska with IV Certification
  • CPR certification (Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer)
  • One year of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules

Duties:

  • Provide respiratory therapy to pediatric and adult patients
  • Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other pulmonary equipment
  • Collaborate with care teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care
  • Maintain accurate documentation

Requirements as a minimum:

  • CRT/RRT (Required)
  • Licensure in the State of Nebraska to practice respiratory care
  • Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited community college or university
  • Strong assessment skills and adaptability

Preferred Certifications:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • RCP License (Preferred)
