Ambassador Health of Nebraska City Earns National Quality Award

Nebraska City, NE - As a Five-Star rated care center, Ambassador Health of Nebraska City has a long-standing reputation for providing outstanding post-hospital care. This commitment to quality has earned the health care center national recognition.

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) has announced that Ambassador Health of Nebraska City is one of only eight care facilities in the state and one of 183 in the nation to earn the 2019 Silver - Achievement in Quality Award.

“Receiving this award is a major honor, as it is a testament to the team members that work so hard on a daily basis to provide the highest quality of care to our residents and patients,” said Shannon Buckminster, administrator of Ambassador Health of Nebraska City.

Ambassador Health chief executive officer, Tyler Juilfs agrees with Buckminster. He believes that the community of Nebraska City should feel proud to have a local provider with such great commitment to the people that they serve.

“This award is extremely difficult to earn and is a positive reflection of the entire care team at Ambassador Health of Nebraska City,” Juilfs said.

The Silver Level Award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, and it spotlights providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to improving the quality of care for residents and patients in long term and post-acute care.

“As a Silver Quality Award recipient, Ambassador Health of Nebraska City is well on its way to progress in their quality journey by continuing to achieve better quality results,” said Alana Wolfe, Chair of AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers. “I commend them for this outstanding

achievement.”

AHCA/NCAL’s National Quality Award Program began in 1996 and challenges member providers to achieve performance excellence through three progressive levels - Bronze, Silver, and Gold. As a prerequisite for the Silver Award, Ambassador Health had to first achieve the Bronze. Among the multiple requirements for consideration at the Silver Level, Ambassador Health had to submit a 25-page written report that addressed quality outcomes, resident engagement, team member engagement, and

regulation compliance.

“By earning this award, Ambassador Health of Nebraska City is more dedicated than ever to being the best post-acute provider possible,” stated Buckminster. “We will continue to improve each day.”
