Lincoln, Neb. – The Ambassador Health System's Lincoln facility is pleased to host "Stepping On," Aging Partner's 7-week workshop where seniors can learn exercises and strategies to help prevent them from falling.
In Nebraska, about 28% of adults aged 65 and older have fallen and sustained an injury. In Lancaster and Seward counties combined, about 26% of adults aged 65 and older have fallen and sustained an injury. Stepping On is a program that has been researched and proven to reduce falls in older people. It consists of a workshop that meets for two hours a week for seven weeks. The workshop will be held on Tuesdays from February 11 through March 25 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at The Ambassador Lincoln, 4405 Normal Boulevard.
